Since 1926, the Baptist Student Union has been a light on the campus of Missouri State University — welcoming freshmen far from home, discipling young leaders, and sending graduates into the world with a faith that lasts a lifetime.
This April, we gather not just to look back — but to lean forward. Join us as we celebrate 100 years of God's faithfulness and cast a vision for the next generation of students who will walk through our doors.

FAQs
Your Questions Answered: Learn More About Supporting Our Ministry
What is the purpose of the Annual Fundraising Banquet?
The Annual Fundraising Banquet is our premier ministry event of the year — a night to celebrate what God has done through the BSU and to rally support for what He's doing next. This year carries special significance as we mark 100 years of ministry on the campus of Missouri State University. From 1926 to 2026, generation after generation of students has been discipled, equipped, and sent. This evening is our opportunity to honor that legacy, hear from current students whose lives are being transformed, and invest in the next chapter together.
How can I get tickets for the event?
Tickets can be purchased online at https://donorbox.org/events/915268 or by contacting our team directly. Individual tickets are $85 per person, and reserved tables of 8 are available for $650 — a great option for Sunday school classes, small groups, or church families who want to come together. The RSVP deadline is April 10, 2026, and seating is limited, so we encourage you to register early.
Are there any opportunities to sponsor or volunteer at the banquet?
Absolutely! Reserving a table is one of the most impactful ways to sponsor the evening — it's a meaningful way for a church, business, or group of friends to make a statement of support for campus ministry. If you're interested in additional sponsorship opportunities or would like to volunteer, please reach out to Chris Wilson at [email protected] or David Stone at [email protected]. We'd love to find the right fit for you.
Where do the funds raised at the banquet go?
Every dollar given at the banquet goes directly toward the general operations and staffing of the BSU — the people and programs that keep our doors open, the lights on, and the welcome mat out for every student who walks onto Missouri State's campus. Your generosity funds the staff who disciple students one-on-one, the weekly gatherings where community is built, and the outreach efforts that introduce students to Jesus for the very first time.
What can I expect at the banquet?
An unforgettable evening. Guests will enjoy a beautifully plated dinner featuring Tuscan Chicken, Baked Mostaccioli, Parmesan Roasted New Potatoes, Portobello Green Beans, House Salad, and dessert. The program will include a keynote address from Coach Casey Woods, Head Football Coach at Missouri State University, along with video highlights, live student testimonials, and alumni recognition honoring those who have shaped this ministry across the decades. Attire is business casual. Doors open at 6:00 PM at South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield. The festivities start at 7:00 PM.
How can someone donate if they cannot attend the banquet
We completely understand, and your support still makes a difference regardless of whether you can join us in person. You can give online at https://donorbox.org/bsu-campus-matters-campaign at any time. If you'd prefer to give by mail, checks can be made out to the Baptist Student Union and sent to P.O. Box 4567, Springfield, MO 65808. For questions about giving, feel free to contact Chris Wilson at [email protected] or call us at 417.884.1926.
